Clothes For Kids' second annual Transforming Lives Breakfast took place Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Special thanks to the Meadowdale Middle School Jazz Band for entertaining us. Attendees enjoyed a breakfast of French toast, bacon, and fresh fruit while learning more about the work of Clothes For Kids. Click here to view pictures from the event.
A big "thank you" to emcee Debbie Whitlock, who did a fantastic job of sharing vital information and statistics--all the while keeping our program on track, even allowing us to end a little early! Alderwood Terrace Rotary was honored with the Community Partner Award, with Elizabeth Stevenson-Collins accepting on behalf of that organization. Leann Tronsdal, Office Manager at Cedar Valley Elementary, shared stories of Clothes For Kids clients at her school and the ways in which they benefit from our services. And former Board President Jim Warner led the recognition of Founding Director Sharie Ennis and her more than 20 years invested in growing Clothes For Kids.
Special recognition is in order for our sponsors--Homestreet Bank, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Verity Credit Union, and Whidbey Island Bank--whose funding underwrote this event, as well as to our in-kind supporters--Awards Service, Inc. and Vitamin D Photography--who provided valuable services.
