Clothes for Kids welcomes Volunteers!
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Clothing/Shop Volunteer: We are always looking for friendly, hard-working volunteers to staff the client and donation areas. Volunteers receive donations, sort and clean clothing, restock inventory, and assist clients. Typically volunteers commit to one day per week for the duration of the school year. Training provided.
- Day and night shifts available! Weekly volunteer shifts are: Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays 8:30 am - 1:00 pm and Tuesdays/Thursdays 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
- Teens welcome! Volunteers ages 16-18 can volunteer with parent permission, and volunteers ages 14-15 can volunteer with a parent on-site.
Board of Directors: Our volunteer Board of Directors is responsible for the oversight of our finances and operations and act as ambassadors for Clothes For Kids. The Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. In addition, each Board member serves on one of three committees: Finance, Events, or Community Outreach. Board members invest approximately 5-10 hours per month to Clothes For Kids.
Special Events Committee: In 2014, Clothes For Kids will celebrate 30 years of serving low-income students in Snohomish County and we think this warrants a Gala Celebration and Fundraiser! In order to plan this extraordinary event, we need the support of our community. The planning committee meets the last Wednesday of each month to:
Office Volunteer: Clothes For Kids operates with minimal staffing and can always use skilled office volunteers to help with data entry, letter generation, filing and more. We have a specific need for data entry support to update and maintain our client Access database.
