CLOTHES FOR KIDS CLOTHES DRIVE
At the recent After Hours at Clothes for Kids many of us there, seeing a need, decided to hold an Underwear Drive to support Clothes for Kids in the New Year. With the current economy, Clothes for Kids has seen the number of families it serves greatly increased over this past year. With this increase in families comes the need for more support from the local community.
One of the biggest needs is for new underwear for children of all ages. We are suggesting that while you are out shopping during the holidays, that you take advantage of the great sales and pick-up one or two packages of underwear for a child in need. January through March 2012 you can drop your donations in the clothing basket at the Edmonds Chamber weekly networking breakfast meeting.
Another great need at Clothes for Kids is toiletries -- shampoo, conditioner, & toothpaste as well as paper products. Kimberly Clark, which has been a huge supporter of Clothes for Kids providing paper products for families, is slated to shut-down at the end of this year so their huge donations of paper products will go away.
We are so blessed to have such a great organization in our community, please help us ensure that they can provide for all the children that need their help.
